How can Breathwork reduce
Stress & Tension?

Modern life can leave us feeling stressed, overwhelmed and carrying more tension than we realise.
At Inner Balance Group, we offer powerful, immersive breathwork sessions for individuals and teams looking for a different way to release stress, reconnect with themselves and build resilience.
Rooted in Conscious Connected Breathwork, our sessions help you move beyond simply understanding how you feel to actually experiencing and processing those feelings — including those that words alone can’t always reach.
It’s about reconnecting with yourself.
A gentle, interactive introduction to diaphragmatic, longer-exhale, box and mindful breathing.
Practised while seated or lying down, these accessible sessions work well for individuals, workplace workshops, Lunch and Learns, wellbeing days and online events.
Everyday Breathing Techniques
Everyone experiences breathwork differently, but sessions may help you:
-
Release built-up stress and physical tension
-
Create a greater sense of calm and clarity
-
Improve focus and capacity to manage pressure
-
Feel more connected to yourself
-
Develop greater self-awareness
-
Support resilience at work and at home
There is no particular outcome you need to achieve. You remain in control throughout and are encouraged to approach the experience with openness and curiosity.
For Organisations and Individuals
A deeper, music-guided experience using a continuous circular breathing pattern, optional breath retentions and a calming visualisation.
Usually practised lying down, sessions offer time to release tension and stress, reconnect with the body and relax deeply.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Happens During a Session?
We begin with a relaxed introduction to Conscious Connected Breathwork, including a demonstration of the breathing pattern and time for questions.
Once you are comfortable, you will lie down and be guided through a short grounding exercise. This is followed by two or three rounds of breathing accompanied by music, with optional breath retentions between rounds.
The session finishes gently with a guided visualisation and time to rest and relax.
You remain in control throughout. You can slow down, return to your natural breath or pause at any time.
What Might I Experience?
Breathwork can affect people physically, mentally and emotionally. You may notice a great deal, very little or something different each time.
Physically
You may experience sensations such as tingling, light-headedness, changes in temperature or temporary tightness in the hands. You may also feel an urge to move, shake or shiver.
Deep, continuous breathing can temporarily alter the balance of carbon dioxide in the body, which is why the active breathing is practised while lying down. Any sensations will usually ease as you slow down or return to your natural breath.
Mentally
Your mind may initially feel busy or distracted. This is completely natural. You will be encouraged to notice your thoughts without judgement and gently bring your attention back to your breathing.
Emotionally
Breathwork may bring emotions or memories to the surface. Experiences can be subtle or more noticeable, and there is no right or wrong response.
If you have any concerns about taking part, you are welcome to speak privately with Suki before booking.
What Should I Bring?
For an in-person session, please bring:
-
A yoga mat or something comfortable to lie on
-
A pillow or cushion
-
A blanket
-
Water
-
An optional eye mask
-
Warm, comfortable and non-restrictive clothing
For online sessions, choose a private space where you will not be disturbed. Headphones are recommended to help you feel immersed in the music and guidance.
Most importantly, bring an open mind. No previous breathwork experience is needed.
